Actually, it still wouldn't have been a good pitch, but at least it has some tension in it. To actually get made, Colonel Raven will need to be her father, and the people she's running from are actually the military - she's running into the arms of a splinter group intent on changing the history of the world.
Thank heavens for the fourth graders, who are smarter by far than both the military, the splinter group, and Elsie herself (although she has good hair).
