I'm pretty sure that the TV series has a little animation of possible names that (very rapidly, so you need freeze frame) gets another couple of jokes in there by wandering through some reasonable-sounding names before stopping on Ford Prefect. I think Prefect Ford was one of them; and Hillman, of course, is an entirely valid surname. So Hunter Hillman might have worked. Still doesn't need to be there, but at least it'd make sense.
